Set in Las Vegas, the series focuses on the activities of that city's Crime Scene Investigations Bureau. Working the overnight shift, the principal characters deployed state-of-the-art forensic technology to solve unsolvable crimes.
The series' main protagonist is Gil Grissom, once the youngest coroner in the history of the L.A. police department, who after 15 years with the Vegas PD, is put in charge of the crime lab when its former skipper, Captain Jim Brass, is transferred back to the homicide division. His work is an expression of himself.
Grissom's elite ensemble include the brilliant Sara Sidle, who was initially brought in from San Francisco to investigate the murder of her predecessor, rookie criminalist Holly Gribbs.
Sara hides himself in the job and pursues rigorously her career. Since she met Grissom, he became her personal bet. She tries to teach him there's nothing to fear in showing his deepest feelings.
