When the body of an attractive woman is found naked in a sandbox, Grissom and Catherine are called to investigate the cause of death. Due to the whip and ligature marks on her body, the team initially assumes that the crime was violent, but with further investigation it is discovered that the victim worked at an underground fetish club. Meanwhile, Warrick and Sara are called to a crime scene to investigate a shooting, which initially appears to have taken place during a robbery.
